I am Dreja
Born in Slovenia, I developed a passion for drawing at an early age. I studied interior design and decoration at the Accademia Italiana in Florence and later refined my artistic expression under the mentorship of Jože Ciuha.
My work explores emotion and imagination through color, movement, and form. Inspired by my travels and experiences, I create pieces that blend observation with poetic interpretation. I have illustrated several children’s books and have been featured by Saatchi Gallery, Talenthouse, and Art Limited.
After more than two decades of living in sunlit corners of the world, watercolor has become my signature medium—expressive, spontaneous, and deeply connected to nature.
Now based on the island of Madeira, I continue to draw inspiration from its vibrant landscapes and lush flora. My Floral Art collection transforms real flowers into portraits and forms that celebrate life and renewal.
My artworks are held in private collections worldwide, reflecting my enduring commitment to sharing beauty through color and storytelling.
